Pianist Mike Jones is joined by the great Jeff Hamilton on drums and 21 year old bass prodigy Mike Gurrola. The trio swings through 11 standards and 2 original blues. The material ranges from a funky arrangement of Besame Mucho to a heartfelt version of September Song. Other highlights include Day By Day, Deed I Do, Corcovado, I Know Why and So Should You and a barrelhouse solo piano version of I’m Walkin’.
